I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting lately on the “hustle culture” we see all over social media.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that business isn’t just about working more hours. It’s about working on the *right* things.
We often get so caught up in being busy that we forget to be productive. I used to think that checking 20 things off my to-do list meant I was winning, but half the time, I wasn’t actually moving the needle on the goals that truly mattered.
Here are the three shifts that changed the game for me:
1. **Stop multitasking.** It’s a myth. Focus on one high-impact task until it’s finished.
2. **Done is better than perfect.** Don’t let the fear of it not being 100% “ready” stop you from launching. You can always improve as you go.
3. **Protect your energy.** If you’re burnt out, your business feels it. Sometimes the best “business strategy” is actually just taking a real break.
I’m curious—what’s one “rule” or piece of advice you’ve followed that actually made a difference for you? Or, conversely, what’s a piece of advice you learned to ignore?
