The biggest lesson I’ve learned in business? Stop trying to do everything at once.
When you’re first starting out, it’s so tempting to say “yes” to every opportunity, chase every shiny new platform, and wear ten different hats at the same time. But eventually, you realize that being busy isn’t the same thing as being productive.
If you’re feeling a little burnt out or stuck in the weeds lately, here are three things that helped me get my focus back:
1. **Pick your top three.** What are the three tasks that actually move the needle today? Do those first, ignore the rest until they’re done.
2. **Done is better than perfect.** Perfectionism is just procrastination in a fancy suit. Get the work out there, get feedback, and improve as you go.
3. **Protect your energy.** If a project or a client is draining you dry, it’s okay to step back. You can’t pour from an empty cup.
Running a business is a marathon, not a sprint. Remember to take a breath and zoom out every once in a while—you’re doing better than you think.
